Chambers County Appraisal District is accepting resumes for the position of:  Field Appraiser

This is an entry-level position requiring graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent. Degree from an accredited college/university preferred.

Responsibilities:

Field inspections of properties

Physically measuring, classing and sketching structures using appraisal tools/software

Data collection/entry

Interaction with property owners

Defending values

Requirements:

Valid Texas driver license

Reliable transportation with proof of auto liability insurance

Strong communication, computer & analytical skills

Ability to perform mathematical computations

Acquire RPA (registered professional appraiser) designation within 5 years of employment start and maintain state-mandated continuing education thereafter. Some education will require out-of-area, overnight travel.  

The salary for this position is contingent upon experience and qualifications. The position provides an excellent benefits package.
